Job summary

Tyndale, a leading Christian publisher, is seeking a Senior Acquisitions Editor for the Fiction Team. You will manage a portfolio of authors from proposal through publication, negotiate deal terms, and bring editorial instinct and market insight to recommendations.

You will work closely with editorial, design, and marketing colleagues, travel to industry events, and help shape which fiction voices the press publishes. Hybrid schedule offered; pay range $58,000–$70,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Marketing, or Business.
• Previous publishing experience is preferred.
• Knowledge and appreciation for CBA fiction.
• Experience with spreadsheets and word processing software.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end project management for assigned fiction titles across Editorial, Design, Manufacturing, and Marketing from concept through release.
• Build and manage relationships with authors and agents, negotiate deal points and guide manuscript feedback.
• Evaluate manuscript proposals for content quality and marketability and make acquisition recommendations.
