Job summary

DSМ-Firmenich AG in Kingstree, SC seeks a Fermentation Operator to run and monitor fermentation processes for algae-based products on a 12-hour rotating shift. You will operate process equipment, verify materials, and perform sterilization while ensuring safety and compliance with SOPs.

The role requires lifting up to 55 lbs, manual dexterity, and the ability to work weekends and holidays when required. Overtime is expected; base hourly rate is $21.75–$25.00 with a comprehensive rewards package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years production experience in chemical/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to operate and monitor fermentation systems safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor fermentation equipment, utilities, and tank pressures; adjust conditions using DeltaV and gauges.
• Accurately measure, weigh, and verify raw materials and ingredients.
• Sterilize tanks, piping, and filters; verify psi readings and integrity.
