Job summary

KORE1 seeks a Principal FEOL Technology Development Engineer for a leading U.S.-based semiconductor foundry in Bloomington, Minnesota. This onsite role drives development, transfer, optimization, and integration of FEOL processes, collaborating across process, device, and manufacturing teams.

The successful candidate will mentor junior engineers, translate device requirements into process specs, and own cross-functional technology transfer to production.

Qualifications

  • Significant semiconductor FEOL experience and expertise in process integration.
  • Experience integrating multiple modules into complete manufacturing flows.
  • Strong understanding of silicon device physics.
  • Knowledge of core FEOL processes (epitaxy, diffusion, etch, lithography, thin films).
  • Ability to design/optimize process flows for electrical performance and manufacturability.
  • Experience correlating electrical data with process/physical metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development, transfer, optimization, and documentation of FEOL process flows.
  • Integrate modules into complete flows meeting electrical, reliability, yield, and manufacturability targets.
  • Design and execute experiments to optimize sequences and parameters.
  • Analyze test and inspection data to identify integration issues.
  • Collaborate with silicon/epitaxy, diffusion, etch, lithography, and thin films teams.
  • Support test-chips and technology-transfer lots and drive corrective actions.
  • Translate device performance requirements into process specifications and integration strategies.
  • Provide input on test structures to characterize processes and devices.
  • Evaluate new semiconductor technologies and transfer opportunities.
  • Interpret failure-analysis results and relate to process conditions.
