Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Policy Advisor to join its Legislative and Public Policy Practice Group. The role focuses on advising clients on federal legislative and regulatory matters and developing strategic advocacy plans.

The position is based in the Washington, DC office with a hybrid work schedule and opportunities to lead client-service teams and mentor junior staff. Strong communication and deep knowledge of policy areas are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of eight years of experience in Congress, an Executive Branch department or agency, or government relations for a nonprofit or for-profit organization, trade association, or interest group.
• Strong knowledge of the federal legislative and regulatory process.
• Experience developing and executing strategic advocacy plans.
• Experience managing junior-level staff and leading client-service teams.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Advise clients on federal legislative, regulatory, and public-policy matters.
• Develop and execute strategic advocacy plans tailored to client objectives.
• Lead client-service teams on discrete policy issues and advocacy initiatives.
• Monitor, analyze, and communicate developments in relevant policy areas.
• Work collaboratively with attorneys, policy professionals, and clients in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage and mentor junior-level staff, as appropriate.
• Produce high-quality written work products.
• Register on behalf of firm clients under the Lobbying Disclosure Act and the Foreign Agents Registration Act.
