Job summary

The Midtown Group is seeking a Senior Contract Specialist for a long-term, in-person assignment with a Washington, DC-based federal agency. You will manage complex procurements, including construction contracts, and guide the contracting team in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have extensive federal contracting experience, document-driven negotiation skills, and a proven ability to handle multiple priorities while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• 10 years of Contract Specialist experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• U.S. Citizenship required and strong knowledge of federal contracting rules.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex, non-standardized procurement requirements.
• Develop and administer contracts including construction contracts.
• Prepare procurement documentation and solicitations.
• Plan and conduct contracting activities independently.
• Lead and participate in contract negotiations.
• Analyze contract requirements and recommend strategies.
• Resolve technical, contractual and procurement issues.
• Coordinate end-user and stakeholder requirements.
• Address and resolve contract disputes and performance issues.
• Provide guidance to other staff on contracting processes.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and procedures.
