Job summary

Ashton North LLC in Florida is seeking a Project Superintendent to lead FDOT bridge and heavy highway work in the Saint Petersburg/Tampa Bay market. This role demands strong field leadership, coordinating foremen, subcontractors, inspectors, engineers, owners, and crews to protect schedule and production.

You will run field operations, enforce safety, manage production, and drive on-site execution across bridge projects.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of bridge experience in heavy/highway/bridge construction.
• Working knowledge of FDOT contracts, specifications, reports, and field expectations.
• Ability to manage foremen, subcontractors, field crews, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to think independently, solve problems, and keep work moving.
• OSHA Competent Person certification.
• Excellent driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate field operations on FDOT bridge/highway projects.
• Lead foremen, subcontractors, inspectors, and field crews to protect schedule and production.
• Establish production goals and hold teams accountable.
• Coordinate with project management, engineers, inspectors, suppliers, and owners.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Ensure field actions align with contract documents, drawings, specs, safety, and environmental rules.
• Coach and train foremen and field employees; support on-the-job training.
