Job summary

Bonton Farms is seeking a Senior Farm Lead to manage daily production plans, uphold quality and safety, and mentor farm teams across multiple functions. The role oversees site-level operations, from propagation to post-harvest, under the Farm Manager's guidance.

The Senior Farm Lead drives efficiency, ensures compliance with SOPs, and coordinates with leadership to optimize labor, equipment, and workflows for sustainable farming practices.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in diversified vegetable production or urban farming with crew direction experience.
• 3–5 years hands-on experience for Senior Farm Lead with lead responsibilities.
• Experience with budgeting, financial planning and record-keeping.
• Proficiency with basic accounting software and farm management tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute farming plans for production, harvest, and post-harvest operations.
• Lead crews, assign tasks, monitor quality and safety, adapt to weather and priorities.
• Convert seasonal plans into daily schedules and rebalance labor across sites.
• Lead audits, coach leads on compliance, and prepare documentation for inspections.
• Deliver structured on-the-job training using competency checklists.
• Coordinate with Farm Manager to manage inventory of seeds, inputs, and PPE.
