Job description

K|H Private Wealth is an independent, boutique wealth management firm serving successful business owners, executives, and families with complex financial lives.

Our work extends well beyond investment management. We help clients coordinate the financial decisions surrounding their wealth, including financial planning, investment strategy, retirement, estate planning, tax considerations, risk management, charitable giving, business decisions, and multigenerational wealth planning.

We are a small, highly engaged team with an active day-to-day environment. Because of our size, every team member has meaningful responsibility and exposure to multiple areas of the business. We work closely together, communicate throughout the day, and place a high value on responsiveness, attention to detail, follow-through, and exceptional client service.

POSITION OVERVIEW

K|H Private Wealth is seeking a Senior Family Wealth Associate with experience in wealth management and a strong understanding of high-net-worth clients to serve as a key member of the team supporting some of KHPW's larger and more complex client relationships. This is a hands-on role with real ownership from day one and meaningful exposure to sophisticated client relationships, trust and entity matters, and family-office coordination.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as a primary point of coordination on some of KHPW's larger and more complex client families
  • Independently manage the coordination and administration of trust, estate, entity, investment, and other family wealth matters
  • Bring a working command of client financial structures, priorities, and planning needs, and know what questions to ask
  • Lead and support financial planning and analysis involving liquidity, estate and tax planning, trusts, insurance, charitable planning, and other family wealth considerations
  • Prepare for and actively participate in client meetings, including developing materials, identifying priorities, documenting decisions, presenting portions of meetings, and driving follow-through
  • Coordinate directly with attorneys, CPAs, bankers, insurance professionals, custodians, and other outside advisors to move client priorities forward
  • Anticipate client needs, deadlines, and opportunities, and proactively flag matters requiring attention
  • Own client communication and relationship coordination with a high degree of independence, while keeping firm leadership closely informed and looped in on client matters
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with the broader team, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks
  • Manage reporting, account administration, implementation, and documentation with a high level of accuracy, discretion, and judgment
  • Provide leadership across the client-service team, including organizing responsibilities, reviewing work, and mentoring junior team members
  • Contribute to the continued development of KHPW's Family Wealth processes, service standards, and client experience
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • 5+ years of current, hands-on experience in wealth management, working directly with ultra-high-net-worth clients
  • Demonstrated, working knowledge of trusts, entities, and multi-generational family wealth structures, not just familiarity from the periphery
  • Direct experience supporting comprehensive financial planning, including estate, tax, liquidity, insurance, and charitable planning
  • Series 65 (or 66) preferred
  • CFP preferred, not required
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple advisors, deadlines, and priorities at once
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the presence and judgment to represent the firm directly in front of sophisticated clients
  • Strong communicator internally as well, keeping leadership and the broader team informed and aligned
  • High level of discretion, accuracy, and professionalism when handling sensitive family and financial information
  • Prior experience mentoring or overseeing junior team members
  • Energy and genuine enthusiasm for the work, paired with the experience to back it up
Why K|H Private Wealth

At a smaller firm, your work is visible and your contribution matters. You will work directly with the firm's leadership and advisors on some of the firm's most sophisticated client relationships from the start, with real ownership and real autonomy, not a training track.
