  • Prospect, develop, and close Personal Lines and HNW business opportunities.
  • Conduct in-depth discovery to assess exposures and opportunities for comprehensive solutions.
  • Evaluate risks and identify coverage gaps, recommending appropriate strategies.
  • Design and present customized personal insurance programs including excess liability and multi-carrier solutions.
  • Coordinate with carriers, underwriting, and internal partners to align solutions with client needs.
  • Maintain documentation and CRM activity (HubSpot) for opportunities and pipeline.

Position Overview

The Senior Family Risk Specialistsareresponsible forbuilding relationships, generating new business, and closing personallinesinsurance opportunities with individuals, families, high-net-worth households.The Senior Family Risk Specialist serves as a senior risk advisor responsible for evaluating complex personal insurance exposures and developing sophisticated protection strategies for affluent, High-Net-Worth, Middle Market, and other coverage-intensive households.

TheSenior Family Risk Specialistgenerally handlesopportunities withaverageaccount revenue of $1,500 ormoreand other matters requiring advanced risk analysis, multi-policy or multi-carrier structuring, or specialized coverageexpertise. The roleleadscomprehensive package reviews andidentifiessolutions designed to protect the client's assets, liability position, and broaderfinancial interests.

This position requires substantial independent judgment in assessing complex exposures,establishinga coverage strategy, evaluating alternatives, advising clients, anddeterminingwhen specialized markets oradditionalexpertise are needed. TheSenior Family Risk Specialistalso strengthens team capability by coaching Tier 1 specialists on discovery, risk analysis, and consultative client engagement.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Prospect, develop, and close new Personal Lines and High-Net-Worth business opportunities through consultative selling and effective pipeline management.
  • Conduct in-depth discovery to assess household exposures, existing coverage,asset-protectionneeds, and opportunities for comprehensive insurance solutions.
  • Exercise independent judgment to evaluate complex risks,identifycoverage gaps, prioritize opportunities, and recommendappropriate insurancestrategies.
  • Design and present customized personal insurance programs, including excess liability, specialty property, valuable articles, flood, and multi-carrier solutions asappropriate.
  • Advise clients on coverage options, tradeoffs, limitations, and recommended actions as their assets, exposures, and household needsevolve.
  • Coordinate with carrier, underwriting, and internal partners while independentlydeterminingwhich solutions best align with client needs and risk profile.
  • Maintainaccuratedocumentation and manage client, opportunity, and pipeline activity in approved agency and CRM systems, including HubSpot.
  • Providesubject-matter guidance to Tier 1 specialists and help triage complex opportunities requiring advanced analysis or senior-level advisory support.
  • Operate with limited day-to-day direction whilecomplying withagency standards, carrier requirements, licensing obligations, and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of personal lines production, risk advisory, or comparable consultative insurance experience.
  • Demonstrated success assessing, structuring, presenting, and closing complex personallinesaccounts, including High-Net-Worth or other coverage-intensive households.
  • Advanced knowledge of excess and umbrella liability, scheduled articles, property-related specialty coverages, and multi-carrier accountstructuring.
  • Strong analytical,relationship-management, communication, negotiation, and consultative selling capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment in complex client and coverage situations.
  • Ability to coach others andprovidecrediblesubject-matterguidance.
Preferred
  • Experience placing business with High-Net-Worth or specialty personallinescarriers.
  • Experience advising clients with multiple residences, valuable collections, complex liability exposures, or other sophisticatedasset-protectionneeds.
  • Experience conducting formal portfolio or package reviews.
  • Experience mentoring or developing less experienced insurance professionals.

Education

As a Senior Family Risk Specialist, you'll receive a competitive compensation package that includes a base salary, commission opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits program. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, as well as a 401(k) plan with immediate vesting.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $150,000, determined by factors including geographic location, relevant experience, demonstrated sales success, and the ability to generate new business revenue.
