Job summary

Nextera Search seeks an experienced Senior Accounting Associate for a Family Office in New York. You will support monthly closes, prepare reports, and consolidate information across entities and investments.

The role requires CPA and 3–5+ years of public accounting experience, with preference for background in wealth management or family office environments. Strong Excel skills and financial modeling are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification required.
• 3–5+ years of public accounting experience (Big Four or mid-tier).
• Experience in a family office/wealth management setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly close activities and coordinate with third-party accounting providers.
• Prepare financial reports, presentations, and analyses for clients and senior leadership.
• Consolidate financial information across multiple entities and investments.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and short-term funding requirements.
• Coordinate wire transfers, bill payments, and cash management activities.
• Review cash positions and identify opportunities to enhance liquidity and returns.
• Assist with account openings, subscriptions, redemptions, asset transfers, and related documentation.
• Partner with tax, legal, and financial advisors on wealth planning and asset protection initiatives.
• Support charitable giving, foundation activity, and related financial administration.
• Coordinate with investment managers, accountants, attorneys, financial institutions, and other service providers.
• Assist with credit facilities, mortgages, and other financing arrangements.
• Respond to client requests and support special projects as needed.
