Job summary

U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company (USSTC) in Richmond, VA seeks an engineering leader to own reliability and integration for manufacturing and processing operations.

You will partner with Maintenance and Engineering to improve uptime, capability, and new equipment success. You will troubleshoot complex process and packing assets, implement root-cause analysis, predictive maintenance, and drive data-driven improvements across control systems.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering.
• 6–8 years of manufacturing experience with factory controls support.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of PLCs/machine controls.

Responsibilities

• Own complex troubleshooting for process and packing assets.
• Assess control system health using data trends and analytics; translate into improvements.
• Engineer and deploy PLC/HMI updates to strengthen process capability.
• Standardize methods, documentation, and systems using disciplined problem-solving.
• Coordinate major technical projects and cross-functional initiatives.
