Senior Facility Manager
Under the direction of the Regional Operations Director, oversee the daily operation of data centers and associated critical infrastructure, managing internal and external resources to provide an exceptional customer experience for every customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day operational coordination with on‑site engineering teams.
- Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance programs for all assigned facilities.
- Provide direction and support during operational issues, incidents, or escalations.
- Partner with management on staffing, scheduling, performance reviews, coaching, and training needs.
- Maintain and update all Operations Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines.
- Manage all vendors performing work in the data center and ensure compliance with procedures and standards.
- Oversee asset tracking systems, ensure accurate lifecycle management, and provide asset reports for internal stakeholders and customers.
- Lead the local incident management process from start to closure, ensuring timely and accurate incident documentation, RCA development, and validation of corrective actions.
- Escalate unresolved or repeated issues as required.
- Maintain up‑to‑date reporting on all facility capacity metrics, forecast future capacity needs, and identify required changes or constraints.
- Ensure on‑time delivery of customer build‑outs; manage project work related to Facility Operations including POs, vendor coordination, cost tracking, and reporting.
- Support sales and internal teams in the placement of new customer deployments.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer operational needs.
- Lead facility tours for prospective customers, review customer contracts, and represent the company in customer audits.
- Manage all monthly internal and external reporting requirements; collaborate with Finance, Accounting, EH&S, Compliance, Security, and other teams to meet reporting deadlines.
- Maintain Business Continuity Planning documentation and training.
- Support SOX audits, certifications, and compliance initiatives.
- Manage regional OPEX in alignment with approved budgets and create CAPEX plans for equipment upgrades, maintenance, and replacement cycles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
- 7+ years of experience managing critical infrastructure, preferably in a data center.
- 10+ years of supervisory or personnel management experience.
- Strong background in electrical, mechanical, and other critical facility systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership and team management experience.
- Exceptional organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong customer‑service mindset with a positive, solutions‑focused attitude.
- Experience developing procedures and training staff.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Willingness to adjust work hours during emergency events (e.g., hurricanes).
- Availability for after‑hours support when required.
- Travel required.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Standard office environment with occasional elevated stress. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Availability for after‑hours support when required.
Salary
$115,000–$145,000 annually.
