Lifecore is seeking a Senior Facility Engineer to provide technical leadership and oversight of facility infrastructure and utility systems. This role will lead facility‑related projects, support manufacturing operations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Lifecore’s Quality Management System.

In this critical role, you will:

  • Lead and coordinate facility engineering projects, including planning, execution, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure successful delivery of objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership and support for facility infrastructure systems (HVAC, chillers, boilers, pumps, filtration systems, motors, and security systems).
  • Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to prioritize and manage facility projects, preventative maintenance activities, and work orders.
  • Lead and support technical investigations related to facility equipment and system performance.
  • Evaluate facility systems and recommend improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Act as the primary engineering resource for facility design changes, including mechanical, electrical, and layout modifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to contractors, vendors, architects, and engineering firms supporting capital projects.
  • Support planning and management of Facility Engineering and Maintenance budgets.
  • Provide work direction and support to maintenance personnel to ensure effective execution of maintenance activities.

  • B.S. in Engineering required; Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • 5–8 years of facility engineering experience, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Demonstrated experience leading engineering projects from concept through execution.
  • Extensive experience with cleanroom environments (ISO Class 5–8) and associated compliance requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of pure water systems, including distillation, WFI, reverse osmosis, and UV disinfection.
  • Working knowledge of GMPs and regulatory requirements impacting pharmaceutical and/or medical device manufacturing.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of standard maintenance practices and procedures.
  • Experience authoring technical documentation (SOPs, PM procedures, protocols, etc.).
  • In‑depth knowledge of mechanical systems including pumps, filters, motors, steam systems, and air handling systems.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, including low/high voltage troubleshooting, VFDs, and building automation systems.
  • Familiarity with validation methodologies.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (P&IDs, layouts, and related drawings).
  • Experience supporting regulatory inspections and customer audits.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Starting Salary: $110,000 - $128,000 annually with consideration for relevant experience
