Job summary

Axiom Space is seeking a bold and dynamic Facilities Technician, Level III to support expanding and outfitting our facilities in Houston, ensuring safe, efficient operations in a fast-paced, high accountability environment.

The role emphasizes problem solving, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams on HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, with occasional extended hours and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED or trade school equivalent.
• 5+ years of facilities experience.
• HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing experience preferred.
• Track record of making things happen in ambiguous environments.
• Judgement and problem-solving to impact challenges.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely.
• Maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.
• Provide scheduled and emergency repairs.
• Communication with management.
• Install/repair HVAC, cabinets, partitions, lighting, doors, plumbing, etc.
• Maintain safe, clean work areas and compliant practices.
• Operate and maintain shop equipment; heavy machinery a plus.
• Visit job sites daily to document progress and quality.
• Report progress and risks to stakeholders and leadership.
• Apply agile project management practices throughout projects.
