Job summary

Sheltair Aviation is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to care for and repair facilities and equipment in Southeast Florida. You will monitor, inspect, and maintain hangars, buildings, and critical utilities to ensure reliability and safety.

The role requires hands-on experience with motors, pumps, hydraulics, low-voltage electrical systems, welding, and working from elevated platforms. You will use CMMS to manage work orders, perform preventive maintenance, train staff, and supervise

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of facilities technician experience with troubleshooting and repairing motors, pumps, hydraulics, low voltage electrical, and welding.
• Accredited specialized trade training preferred.
• Associates degree in a technical field is a plus.
• Must be able to operate boom truck, articulating lift, scissor lift, and ladders.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Must be able to lift 80 pounds.
• Proficient reading of blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook a plus.
• Experience with CMMS systems.
• Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facilities/hangars daily for maintenance, cleanliness, safety, security, and operational status.
• Respond to work orders and perform repairs to buildings, hangars, doors, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and floors.
• Perform preventive maintenance of buildings and equipment per CMMS schedule.
• Troubleshoot and determine root cause of building and equipment deficiencies.
• Train other maintenance technicians and staff in preventative maintenance and care of facilities.
• Supervise contract personnel or outside vendors as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment and ensure proper PPE use.
• Close out work orders with time, materials, photos, and corrective actions.
• Participate in continuous improvement and safe work practices.
