Job summary

BD is a leading global medical technology company. The Senior Facilities Engineer will spearhead the design, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of facility infrastructure and critical utilities supporting manufacturing, ensuring GMP, FDA, and safety compliance.

The role leads preventive maintenance, drives capital projects, and collaborates with manufacturing, quality, validation, and maintenance teams to maintain uninterrupted production while pursuing energy efficiency and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
• 5+ years of facilities engineering experience in regulated manufacturing.
• GMP and FDA regulatory knowledge.
• Experience with critical utility systems (HVAC, WFI, cleanrooms).
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, operate, maintain, and continuously improve facility infrastructure and critical utilities.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of utilities (HVAC, WFI, clean steam, compressed air, electrical systems).
• Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize reliability and uptime.
• Support and manage capital projects, including equipment upgrades and facility expansions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, validation, and maintenance teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on energy efficiency and cost reduction.
• Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting facility-related issues and support equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, and engineering standards aligned with compliance requirements.
• Manage contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure quality and timely execution.
• Ensure compliance with EHS standards and promote a safe working environment.
• Project management across facilities initiatives.
