Joby Aviation is seeking a Facilities Development Senior Project Manager to drive capital projects end-to-end across multiple sites including R&D, manufacturing, and flight test. You will own scope, schedule, budget, and quality for complex programs while partnering with cross-functional teams to meet company objectives and regulatory standards.

The role emphasizes strong budgeting, design/permits, and commissioning experience, with opportunities to influence PMO processes and deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience managing facilities or construction projects or equivalent.
• Experience leading large projects or major workstreams independently.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (MEP, structural, civil).
• Advanced budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control skills.
• Ability to partner across teams and communicate with stakeholders, including senior leaders.
• Proficiency with PM tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Procore, or Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of capital projects, typically $1M–$15M, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Manage feasibility, programming, design, permitting, construction, commissioning, and turnover activities.
• Provide solutions to complex project issues with strong delivery knowledge and business context.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, change control, and stakeholder reporting; escalate risks with recommendations.
• Lead selection and day-to-day management of architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants.
• Collaborate with Workplace, Facilities Maintenance, IT, Security, EHS, and other teams to ensure readiness.
• Contribute to PMO templates and processes; advise stakeholders on delivery matters.
• Ensure compliance with codes, FAA/airport requirements, environmental regs, and internal standards.
