Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Facilities Architect licensed in Florida to join our team. This position will play a critical role in overseeing architectural design for complex industrial manufacturing and aerospace facilities, with emphasis on developing construction documents and ensuring compliance with building codes and life‑safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the development of comprehensive construction documents for aerospace and industrial manufacturing facilities
• Sign and seal architectural drawings and specifications as the Architect of Record
• Perform and document detailed life safety analyses for complex facilities
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines, contractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure code compliance and integration of life safety systems in architectural designs
• Lead technical design reviews and quality control processes
• Mentor junior staff on technical documentation and regulatory requirements
• Interface with regulatory authorities during permitting and approval processes

Required Qualifications

• Current Florida Architectural License
• Ability and willingness to obtain architectural licensure in additional states as projects require
• 10+ years of architectural experience with progressive responsibility
• Demonstrated experience with life safety analysis for industrial and/or aerospace facilities
• Proficiency in developing construction documents for complex technical projects
• Strong knowledge of applicable building codes, NFPA standards, and life safety requirements
• Experience signing and sealing drawings as Architect of Record
• Excellent communication and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with aerospace facilities, launch infrastructure, or specialized industrial environments
• LEED accreditation
• Knowledge of sustainable design practices for industrial applications
• Familiarity with federal and DoD facility requirements

• Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre‑employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
