Job summary

Antares seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Fabrication in Torrance to lead development and maturation of manufacturing processes for critical reactor hardware. You will coordinate with design, materials, quality, and production to turn first-of-a-kind concepts into robust, repeatable processes, focusing on welding, CNC machining, metal forming, and related special processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in manufacturing engineering, fabrication, or complex hardware development.
• Demonstrated depth in welding, CNC machining, metal forming, brazing, or metal additive manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, drawings, tolerances, material specs, and manufacturing requirements.
• Experience taking processes from development through production or qualification.
• Ability to work across design, materials, quality, manufacturing, and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Own fabrication processes for critical reactor components from development through qualified production.
• Develop and improve welding, CNC machining, metal forming, additive manufacturing, brazing and diffusion bonding processes.
• Define manufacturing sequences, tooling, inspection methods, and process controls.
• Lead DFM reviews and identify manufacturing risks early in the design cycle.
• Mentor engineers and technicians in process development and problem solving.
• Support transition of hardware from development to repeatable production and qualification.
