Job summary

P17 Solutions LLC is hiring an Adaptation Specialist to support the FAA TFDM Program. The role combines hands-on software development with site-specific configuration, integration, validation, and testing at terminal facilities.

The candidate should have a strong V&V or test engineering background on FAA/NAS systems, plus hands-on web/app development using Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and experience with Linux and shell scripting. Significant travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of experience in aviation systems adaptation, ATC operations, system integration, or V&V/test engineering.
• Hands-on development or testing using web/app tech: Java, JS/TS, HTML5, CSS3; willing to grow into React, Spring Boot, Python-based tooling.
• Experience with Linux environments and shell scripting to support test automation and deployment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; travel >50% to FAA sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and support TFDM software, including SIT/JSAT/OT&E and release management.
• Architect and maintain TFDM data pipeline and VM infrastructure; implement messaging and SQL data integration.
• Lead design and maintenance of internal scenario generation tools using Java, Python, JS/TS, React, Spring Boot, and Electron.
• Configure site adaptations: gate/stand layouts, routing, flight data rules, and alert thresholds.
• Collaborate with ATC, Technical Operations, and engineers; provide training and support on adaptation concepts.
