Job summary

Omega-Plastics-LLC is seeking an Experienced Machine Operator to run extrusion equipment safely and efficiently, matching customer specs. Responsibilities include setup, monitoring, adjustments, and troubleshooting to maintain quality and productivity.

The position requires physical ability and reading technical docs; starting wage is $15/hour with up to $20 based on experience. Multiple shifts offered with overtime voluntary if needed, weekends off.

Qualifications

• Two years of mechanical/technical training preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Select, assemble, and install dies; calibrate machine settings (temperature, pressure, speed) based on material specifications and product requirements.
• Feed raw materials into the extrusion machine, including pellets or powders depending on the material.
• Collaborate with engineering, packing, and management to optimize production.
• Assist in setting up and testing new lines.
• Make repairs to equipment and replace defective components.
• Set up dies and other equipment parts to keep machines at peak efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
• Work with the warehouse team to ensure materials are available when needed.
• Follow ISO/Safety policies and procedures for the area.
