Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. is seeking an Extrusion Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations in the extrusion department, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality production.

This role supervises production employees, drives continuous improvement, and ensures compliance with OSHA requirements and environmental standards. You will oversee meeting production schedules, coach teams, analyze data, and coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, and Materials to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in extrusion or plastics.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety programs, and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct extrusion personnel on assigned shift.
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Monitor extrusion processes and equipment performance to minimize downtime and scrap.
• Train, coach, and develop team members on work practices, safety requirements, and quality expectations.
• Analyze production data and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Material Handling, and other departments to resolve operational issues.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports.

Job Description

The Extrusion Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations within the extrusion department to ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of products. This position supervises production employees, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.

• Supervise and direct extrusion personnel on assigned shift.
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Monitor extrusion processes and equipment performance to minimize downtime and scrap.
• Train, coach, and develop team members on work practices, safety requirements, and quality expectations.
• Conduct daily shift meetings and communicate production goals and performance metrics.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance management, and corrective action processes.
• Analyze production data and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Material Handling, and other departments to resolve operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, OSHA requirements, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in extrusion or plastics manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety programs, and quality systems.
• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced production environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift within company guidelines.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and overtime as needed.
