Yora, part of Sigma Group, is seeking a Senior Exterior Trim Engineer in the US to lead design, development, release and launch of exterior trim systems.
You will create CAD concepts in CATIA V5/V6, design plastic components, and work with design, manufacturing and suppliers to ensure quality, weight, cost and manufacturability.
A successful candidate has 5+ years in automotive design, vehicle launch experience, and a mechanical engineering degree, with hands-on CAD and validation expertise.

We are looking for a Senior Exterior Trim Engineer to join Yora for an exciting assignment within the automotive industry in the US.
Location: California or Michigan – On-site
You will join a highly skilled engineering environment working with the development of next-generation vehicles.
The work sits at the intersection of design, engineering, manufacturing and vehicle integration. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, design, manufacturing and suppliers, taking ownership from early concepts through validation and launch.

As a Senior Exterior Trim Engineer, you will take a leading role in the design, development, release and launch of exterior trim systems.
You will:
Your experience may include areas such as rocker panels, sill trims, side valences, underbody systems, wheelhouse liners, spoilers, appliqués and other interior or exterior plastic components.
We believe you are an experienced automotive engineer who enjoys taking ownership and solving complex problems from engineering fundamentals.
You have:
Experience with Class A surfaces, tooling, fit & finish, gap & flush, aerodynamics, lighting integration, thermal expansion, structural design and paint processes is considered a strong advantage.
Beyond your technical experience, we are looking for someone who can enter a new organization, quickly understand how things are done and start contributing. You are curious, self-driven and comfortable taking responsibility rather than waiting for detailed instructions.
