Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Sr. Cyber Security Engineer for Exposure Management to own complex analysis across internet-facing assets—cloud, SaaS, domains, apps, and APIs.

You will identify, validate, and prioritize vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and exposures that pose material business risk, shaping the external attack surface program. As a subject matter expert, you will design mitigations, mentor teammates, coordinate with Threat Intelligence, participate in reporting and remediation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5–7 years in cybersecurity or IT operations.
• Experience with vulnerability management programs.
• Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST 800-53, HITRUST).

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, configures, and implements cybersecurity solutions.
• Leads efforts to assess cybersecurity risks and implement mitigations.
• Reviews the security of technology solutions addressing complex needs.
• Ensures solutions comply with organizational security standards.
• Designs and integrates new security solutions into architectures and processes.
• Acts as SME for technical solutions and mentors team members.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
