Job summary

Avalore, LLC is seeking an Exploitation Specialist / Data Scientist, Expert to support DoW customers in Springfield, VA. The role focuses on maintaining data architecture, ETL pipelines, and cross-domain data operations across security domains and systems.

The candidate will implement data schemas, governance, and backend workflows, leveraging cloud architectures and both SQL and NoSQL databases, while scripting and API integrations enable data movement for emergent sensors and IC data products.

Qualifications

• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and cloud architectures.
• Ability to develop, sustain, and monitor data pipelines across formats and interfaces.
• Familiarity with data schemas, governance, and access controls.
• Experience programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to explain complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Create infrastructure to store/process data for emergent sensors and ETL pipelines.
• Ensure data adheres to government data schemas, formats, and governance.
• Develop, test, and maintain large-scale data processing systems.
• Prepare and transform data for geospatial pipelines for IC consumption.
• Build data pipelines using scripting and APIs to enable data movement.
• Support data analytics, cleansing, and ETL capabilities across domains.
• Enforce data governance policies and security requirements.
