Job summary

NSA is seeking a Computer Systems Architect to modernize IT architecture using commercial and government hardware, software, networking, and security products. You will integrate industry trends, evaluate new vendor features, and collaborate with technical teams to design solutions that support program requirements.

You will map data models, ensure information transport between IT systems, and align enterprise data models with physical implementations while maintaining security and compliance

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science (CS) required or related field with substantial CS coursework.
• Relevant experience in design/development of computer or information systems across lifecycle stages.
• Military training (e.g., JCAC) counts toward experience requirements.
• Entry levels: Bachelor's + 3 years, Master's + 1 year, Doctoral + 0 years; Senior: Bachelor's + 6 years, Master's + 4 years, Doctoral + 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Modernize IT architecture through analysis of research and introducing changes based on evolving project requirements.
• Integrate industry trends, emerging technologies and standards and new vendor features.
• Collaborate with experts in technical and application teams to identify, evaluate and recommend technical solutions to support project requirements.
• Produce compliance results for established project requirements and IT architecture.
• Define and analyze data requirements, mapping legacy data stores and formats to logical and physical data models.
• Propose standard ways for information transport between IT systems and stored within corporate knowledge databases.
• Perform architectural alignment of the enterprise logical data model and physical data models.
