Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a team of designers, fostering growth, engagement, and design excellence.
Set design vision and strategy across a suite of products, workflows, and platforms.
Drive the transformation of complex operational experiences through process design, systems thinking, and workflow architecture.
Partner with business, product, and technology leaders to align priorities and deliver meaningful outcomes.
Establish and scale experience patterns, standards, and design system adoption across teams.
Create alignment across initiatives to ensure connected, consistent, and efficient user experiences.
Leverage research, insights, and data to inform strategy and decision-making.
Communicate design direction and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Ensure high-quality design execution across multiple teams, products, and initiatives.

Requirements

Experience leading and developing teams of experience designers, product designers, or UX professionals
Experience designing complex enterprise, operations, workflow, or employee-facing platforms
Demonstrated success driving cross-functional initiatives across business, product, technology, and design organizations
Experience establishing or scaling design systems, experience standards, and governance models
Strong portfolio demonstrating leadership of large-scale end-to-end experience initiatives
Experience working with the Figma suite of design tools
Experience supporting design initiatives within Agile development environments
Knowledge and experience in the financial services industry is desired but not required.
University / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry experience is typically 8+ years. At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Demonstrates expertise in leading and developing design teams while driving the establishment and scaling of design systems and standards. Proficient in leveraging research and data to inform design strategy and ensure high-quality execution across complex enterprise platforms.
