Job summary

NIPPON SANSO SINGAPORE LTD is seeking a Senior Executive, Finance to lead financial accounting and reporting from our Pioneer West Region base. The role drives accurate statements, insightful analysis, and robust financial controls to support growth and compliance.

Ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance with CA/CPA/ACCA or equivalent and 5–7 years’ post-qualification experience in a commercial environment, with strong Excel and ERP system skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent recognised credential.
• Minimum 5–7 years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel; ability to analyse large datasets and build financial models.
• Comprehensive knowledge of local statutory accounting requirements.
• Experience with month-end and year-end close processes; journal entries and reconciliations.
• Solid understanding of internal controls, audit procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities across departments and levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial accounting and reporting processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports (balance sheets, income statements, cash flows).
• Manage general ledger accounts, reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Conduct financial analysis and variance investigations to identify trends and improvements.

• Develop and implement financial policies, controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Executive, Finance to join NIPPON SANSO SINGAPORE LTD in a full-time capacity, based in the Pioneer West Region. This is a strategic position within our Finance team, playing a crucial role in driving financial excellence, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting the overall business objectives of our organisation. As Senior Executive, Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing financial accounting and reporting functions, providing insightful financial analysis, and contributing to the development of robust financial frameworks that support organisational growth and compliance.

Key responsibilities

1. Oversee and manage the financial accounting and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
2. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
3. Manage general ledger accounts, reconciliations and the month-end close process to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and accounted for.
4. Conduct financial analysis and variance investigations to identify trends, anomalies and areas for improvement.
5. Support audit activities by coordinating with internal and external auditors and ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and available.
6. Develop and implement financial policies, procedures and controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
7. Liaise with management and business units to provide financial insights, recommendations and support for strategic decision-making.
8. Maintain and enhance accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and data integrity.

What we're looking for

9. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to work effectively across multiple departments and levels of seniority.
