Job summary

Whitefox seeks a Senior Execution Engineer to serve as the technical authority on projects from FEL1 through O&M, owning the quality of engineering delivered by partners and the client-facing technical dialogue.

The role is home-based in the US Midwest with about 30% travel, partnering with the POD and Customer Support to ensure safe, efficient commissioning and sustained performance post-commissioning.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years in process engineering on industrial plants, covering detailed design to field.
• Experience producing or reviewing PFDs, heat and material balances, P&IDs, equipment design and control narratives.
• Hands-on commissioning/start-up on site and troubleshooting under time pressure.
• Experience delivering engineering through third-party EPC or contractors, maintaining quality without control.
• Understanding of contractual performance guarantees and translating them into operating limits.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship with the execution partner's engineering team and ensure knowledge transfer to Whitefox.
• Chair technical reviews, set agendas, and escalate risks related to design or resourcing.
• Review and accept PFDs, P&IDs, equipment design, sizing, 3D models and layouts against criteria.
• Own IFC package accuracy and the basis of design for Whitefox CORE control narratives.
• Co-responsible for commissioning and start-up with Customer Support, flagging cost/schedule impacts.
• Drive installed systems to defined benefits post-commissioning and support live-operation troubleshooting.
• Incorporate health and safety considerations in design and close design safety actions.
• Provide on-the-job training to POD Execution Engineers and coach peers.
• Develop simulation templates, tools and training materials; feed learnings back to Head of Execution Engineering.
