The ideal candidate has 15+ years of underwriting experience in property/casualty, strong analytical capabilities, and excellent communication skills to interact with brokers and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance or related field.
• CPCU or AU designation is preferred.
• 15+ years of underwriting experience, focus on excess insurance in property/casualty.
• Strong analytical skills to assess complex risks and underwriting decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with brokers and clients.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and underwrite excess casualty submissions and assess risk exposures.
• Prepare quotes, binders, policies and endorsements with timely accuracy.
• Maintain relationships with brokers and clients to enable growth and retention.
• Monitor and manage a portfolio of excess policies, ensuring adherence to guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal underwriter guidelines.
• Provide mentorship and share industry knowledge with mentees.
