Job summary

UCI Health in California is seeking a Senior Custodian to perform skilled cleaning, housekeeping, and maintenance in acute and non-acute areas across our hospitals and clinics. You will work under the EVS Manager to ensure a clean, safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

This role requires a valid CA driver's license, experience in service settings, strong customer service, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays; background checks and DMV pull notices apply.

Qualifications

• Valid CA driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Previous experience working in a service industry position.
• Previous experience interacting with internal and external customers.
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
• Must provide evidence of liability insurance coverage.
• Employment contingent upon completion of satisfactory background investigation; DMV Pull Notice System applies.
• Access to reliable, personal transportation to commute to offsite locations.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled and semi-skilled cleaning, housekeeping and/or general maintenance duties in acute and non-acute in-patient, out-patient and non-patient areas.
• Carry out resilient tile and carpet care tasks (stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction/shampooing).
