Amex GBT is a place where colleagues find inspiration in travel as a force for good and – through their work – can make an impact on our industry. We're here to help our colleagues achieve success and offer an inclusive and collaborative culture where your voice is valued.

The Senior Event Producer leads assigned programs for a dedicated Experience Studio team built around one enterprise client, owns the plan, the budget, and the production for each one, and is the daily contact for that program's stakeholders. The client's event leadership sets the portfolio and its priorities, and the Studio Operations Manager runs the team, its resourcing, and its reporting. The Senior Event Producer makes the programs happen and sets the standard for how they look and run.

What You'll Do
  • Lead assigned programs as the producer of record, from the first stakeholder brief through planning, onsite delivery, and close.

  • Work alongside the client's own producers on flagship programs, taking the workstreams they assign and delivering them to the same standard as your own.

  • Serve as the daily contact for the stakeholders on your programs, running planning cadences, status reporting, and decision requests so they always know where the program stands and what it needs from them.

  • Direct creative and production for your programs: brief the creative, staging, audiovisual, and content partners, review their work against the client's brand standards, and own the run of show.

  • Own each program's budget from initial estimate through final reconciliation, including forecasts, change control, and supplier commitments.

  • Direct the event managers and attendee experience coordinators assigned to your programs, setting priorities and reviewing their work, while the Studio Operations Manager manages the team.

  • Keep a master timeline, milestone tracking, and a decision log current for every program in the client's project tools, so status can be read without asking.

  • Work with the sourcing team on venue and supplier selection, then hold hotels, venues, and production partners to their contracts through onsite performance.

  • Lead onsite delivery, including staffing plans, pre-con meetings, daily leadership huddles, and issue escalation, with the travel and extended program weeks that come with it.

  • Partner with the Studio Operations Manager on staffing, scope, and risk across your programs, and raise scope creep and resourcing gaps early with a recommendation attached.

What We're Looking For
  • Eight or more years producing corporate meetings and events, with at least three years as lead producer on programs you ran from brief to close.

  • Experience on a dedicated account team under a client statement of work, or inside a corporate events department.

  • A portfolio that includes multi-day executive programs, audiences of 500 or more, and program budgets above $1 million.

  • Production fluency: able to brief and direct staging, audiovisual, and content partners, read a production schedule, and make the call when the show and the budget pull apart.

  • Budget ownership with a track record of accurate forecasts, clean reconciliations, and change control the client accepts.

  • Strong command of Cvent and enterprise project and collaboration tools, and comfort working inside a client owned environment.

  • Executive presence: able to run a planning meeting with senior stakeholders, deliver a hard update, and hold a recommendation under pressure.

  • The ability to lead a program team you do not manage, setting clear expectations and giving direct feedback on the work.

  • Detailed written communication: status reports, decision logs, and client updates that hold up when read back months later.

  • Preferred: CMP or CMM; experience running concurrent programs at different stages; time at a production company, hotel, or destination management company that provides the supplier's view of the agency.
