Job summary

Global Business Ser. 4u is seeking a Senior ETL Developer in Chicago to build and maintain robust data infrastructure. You will ensure high-quality data integration across internal apps and with external partners, and enable data-driven decisions.

The role requires 10+ years in an enterprise data warehouse environment, strong SQL, and experience with ETL tools, REST APIs, and programming languages. You will contribute to dashboards and reporting while upholding data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of Enterprise Data Warehouse experience.
• 5+ years of ETL product experience (SSIS, Ab Initio, etc).
• Strong knowledge of data modeling and Star Schema.
• Advanced ANSI SQL skills.
• REST API development experience.
• Experience with C#, Python, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS and RESTful design.
• Knowledge of JSON and XML.
• Experience with SQL Server 2012/2019.
• Ability to produce and organize high-quality documentation.
• Experience with at least one job scheduler.
• Experience with large school district (preferred).
• Experience with compliance reporting (State and DOE).
• Knowledge of Aspen SIS database.
• Experience OneRoster 1.1 or later.
• Knowledge of Selective Enrollment processes.
• Knowledge of Salesforce BULK API desirable.
• Knowledge of ISBE WCF SOAP Protocol desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and Manage the existing Enterprise Data Warehouse and ODS builds.
• Model extensions to the existing Data Warehouse.
• Build ETL components according to ETL specifications with performance, auditing, and data quality in mind.
• Create REST API integrations with vendors and Partners.
• Support post deployment by debugging, fixing, and maintenance.
• Create reports to meet business requirements and address data needs.
• Create Dashboard pages and metrics within a custom dashboard solution.
• Responsible for data integrity as well as the quality of data within Dashboard presentation layer.
• Participate in code reviews; ensure solutions align with architectural specs; review user documentation.
• Read business requirements, write functional requirements, develop detailed designs, and build/test ETL code.
