Job summary

C‑HAWKK Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead the bid process for projects in Kansas. You will prepare construction estimates based on designs, site visits, and contracts, and drive accuracy in scope, materials, and scheduling.

The role requires strong Excel and estimating skills, with a proven ability to analyze trends, coordinate with vendors, and assemble compelling, competitive bids.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in construction industry.
• Strong Excel skills and estimating tools.
• Apply scope definition, bid leveling, unit pricing.
• Experience in commercial estimating and bid day activities.
• Strong organizational, negotiation, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction estimates based on designs, drawings, site visits, and contracts.
• Define estimating scope, deliverables, schedules, and report formats.
• Collect cost and schedule data to determine equipment, materials, labor, and indirects.
• Develop baseline cash-flow from estimates and milestones.
• Contribute strategies to win work and secure subcontractor numbers.
• Coordinate with vendors and other departments to resolve issues.
• Review material and labor requirements to choose in-house vs contractor crews.
• Oversight of bid process and ensuring quality quotes.
