Job summary

Markent Personnel, Inc. seeks a Senior Estimator – Residential to lead the preconstruction estimating lifecycle for large-scale multi-family and senior housing projects in the Columbus area.

You will manage end-to-end takeoffs, pricing, value engineering, and client presentations, building strong relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors while delivering accurate cost data.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of estimating experience in large multi-family residential projects.
• Experience with HUD and OFHA estimating guidelines.
• Strong communication and relationship-building to engage subs and clients.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Estimating: Lead, create, and finalize full project estimates; review others' estimates.
• Bidding & Scoping: Build subs lists, call subs to drive participation, analyze bids.
• Takeoffs & Pricing: Perform detailed on-screen takeoffs with current market pricing.
• Value Engineering: Research materials and develop alternative costs.
• Preconstruction Planning: Develop early schedules and staffing/General Conditions.
• Client & Partner Relations: Present cost data to clients and build relationships.
