A well-established and respected Civil Engineering and Heavy Civil Construction firm in San Diego is seeking an experiencedSenior Estimator or Project Executive to support business development and market growth across the region. This opportunity is ideal for aSenior Estimator, Project Executive, or Preconstruction professional looking to leverage their industry relationships and project pursuit experience to help grow a respected heavy civil contractor.

The ideal candidate understands theheavy civil market and project pursuit process and enjoys building relationships that lead to new project opportunities. In this role, you will help identify upcoming work, strengthen relationships with developers and contractors, and collaborate with internal teams to guide project pursuit strategies and expand the company’s project pipeline.

This position will work closely with company leadership and play a key role in shaping project pursuits and long-term market growth for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new project opportunities within theheavy civil and site development market
• Build and maintain strong relationships withdevelopers, contractors, vendors, and industry partners
• Support project pursuits by collaborating with internal teams onestimating strategy and proposal development
• Track industry trends, competitor activity, and upcoming projects
• Generate leads through networking, industry connections, and referrals
• Work closely with leadership to expand the company'sproject pipeline and market presence

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, estimating, project management, or project leadership
• Strong understanding of scopes such as:
• Mass excavation and grading
• Asphalt paving
• Concrete flatwork and structures
• Material sales and trucking operations
• Experience withpublic works or federal contracting is a plus
• Strong relationship-building and networking skills within theconstruction industry
