Job summary
Fortune-Johnson General Contractors in Peachtree Corners, GA, is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead bid analysis, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimation for multifamily construction projects. You will work closely with project managers and development teams to ensure accurate, timely bids and competitive proposals.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in construction or engineering, 3–6 years of estimating experience in the local market, and strong proficiency with Timberline, Cortex,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or related discipline.
- 3-6 years experience construction estimating experience - local trade contractor market knowledge a plus, prior construction field experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials and processes.
- Solid communication and leadership abilities.
Responsibilities
- Send requests for proposals and follow up with subcontractors to ensure bids are received and analyzed timely.
- Collect, track and review subcontractor bid packages.
- Perform material take-offs for building materials purchased direct.
- Understand historical costs and budget impacts of details and materials.
- Manage estimates in Timberline.
- Ensure contract exhibits are completed timely and accurately.
- Establish relationships with owners, subcontractors, and operations.
- Stay updated on market trends.
- Oversee building permit applications, tracking and issuance.
