CDM Smith is seeking an experienced estimator for design/build and construction management estimates in Dover, Delaware. You will prepare cost estimates, analyze bids, and coordinate subcontractor pricing for complex projects.

The role requires strong analytical skills and travel up to 40% of the time. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least 8 years of related experience.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares design/build, engineer, construction management, guaranteed maximum price, and hard-bid estimates/proposals.
• Analyses quotations prior to and on bid day.
• Evaluates bids of sub-contractors and suppliers for scope, delivery and specs.
• Enters quantity take-offs and material unit pricings.
• Recognizes and applies appropriate WBS structure.
• Prepares opinions of probable construction cost estimates.
• Develop subcontractor and vendor scopes and reviews for completeness.
• Coordinates overall corporate estimating functions.
• Contact subcontractors and suppliers for outsource pricing.
• Guides junior staff in estimating procedures and software.
• Manages bid day and close out activities.
