Job summary

TW Constructors, a leading design/build construction firm in St. Louis, seeks a Senior Estimator to lead the preparation of estimates and proposals for a diverse portfolio of projects across disciplines.

You will drive bid strategy, scope development, and risk analysis while coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure accurate, competitive pricing. The Senior Estimator will mentor junior staff, review drawings and specs for completeness, and develop comprehensive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Seven or more years of direct construction estimating experience.
• Experience independently leading complex estimates and proposals.
• Experience preparing conceptual estimates, detailed estimates, lump-sum bids, unit-cost analyses, and quantity takeoffs.
• Strong understanding of estimating techniques, construction disciplines, labor productivity, material pricing, cost-control systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of conceptual, schematic, design-development, and construction-document estimates.
• Manage estimates and proposals from initial opportunity review through final bid submission.
• Develop and present lump-sum bids, proposals, unit costs, quantity takeoffs, and pricing analyses.
• Establish bid strategies, estimating approaches, work plans, and submission requirements.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to develop accurate project estimates and resolve scope or pricing issues.
• Interface with procurement, preconstruction, and operations teams to align estimates with project goals.
