Pulice is seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare project estimates by analyzing specifications and plans, ensuring cost-effective quantities and construction methods aligned with pursuit, schedule, and price goals.

You will review drawings, analyze data, and input into risk and design options. This role requires strong technical writing and leadership on large pursuits, with a comprehensive benefits package offered.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in construction estimating or cost control.
• Specialized knowledge of alternative construction delivery methods.
• Advanced knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating Software.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Ability to lead pursuit and estimating activities on large/complex projects.

Responsabilidades

• Reviews proposal specifications, drawings and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope and contents of estimate.
• Incorporates historical data into unit and hour figures.
• Provide input on project risks to lead estimator and align with schedule and cost goals.
• Prepare discipline estimates by taking off scope and calculating material quantities.
• Monitor addenda and advise on changes during the estimate period.
• Assist with design review options and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborate with team to hand off pursuit results to project management.
• Research vendors and subcontractors to meet pursuit and cost goals.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Reviews proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Reviews and incorporates historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and person-hour figures.
• Provides technical input regarding project and contract risks to lead estimator responsible for final bid price approval. Reviews final estimate to ensure defined work aligns with overall project schedule and cost goals.
• Prepares discipline estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work. Calculates material quantity requirements from engineering drawing dimensions.
• Monitors client addendum and advises the estimating team on changes during the estimate period.
• Assists with design review options and recommends best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.
• Partners with estimating team to prepare and conduct project hand-off meetings between pursuit team and project management team.
• Researches and recommends vendors and subcontractors for designated scopes of work to achieve pursuit and cost goals.
  
  

Who You Are

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field required.
• 5+ years of experience in construction industry, estimating or cost control preferred.
• Specialized knowledge and experience in alternative construction delivery methods.
• Advanced knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating Software.
• Strong technical writing skills.
