You will build production-based cost estimates, solicit quotes, and coordinate with leadership to develop strategy. This role offers stability with a deep backlog and a voice on bid day for someone with DOT heavy civil experience.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of heavy civil estimating experience, with lead estimator role on DOT bids.
• Experience in highway, bridge, earthwork, paving and drainage estimating.
• Strong takeoff and production-based pricing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimates on heavy civil highway and bridge bids from takeoff through bid day.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from plans and specifications.
• Build crew, equipment and production-based cost estimates.
• Mentor junior estimators and keep estimating database current.
• Attend prebid meetings and site visits.
