AJ Glass Commercial Glass Interiors in Marietta, GA seeks a Senior Estimator to lead final technical and commercial reviews, mentor Estimator I/II staff, and drive bid strategy from our Marietta office.

This role requires 5+ years in commercial construction estimating with glazing experience, plus strong analytical skills using Excel, Bluebeam, Outlook, and Procore to deliver high-quality proposals.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating, preferably with glazing systems.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management is a plus; hands-on experience is valued.
• Strong command of curtainwall, storefront, thermal systems, specialty glass, hardware packages, and related materials.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing estimates prepared by others and identifying material technical or commercial risk.
• Demonstrated experience coaching, developing, and providing clear technical feedback to experienced and developing estimators; prior formal supervisory experience is helpful but not required.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, interruptions, and rapidly shifting deadlines while delivering high-quality results under pressure.
• Skilled in bid negotiation, general contractor communication, conflict resolution.
• Ability to lead through expertise, example, coaching, and influence while working under the Preconstruction Manager's leadership.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Perform final technical and commercial review of estimates, budgets, proposals, alternates, and CORs.
• Exercise risk-based review judgement, determining when full review is required and when targeted review is sufficient.
• Coach Lead Estimators on first-level review, mentoring, and escalation judgment.
• Provide advanced technical coaching and developmental feedback to estimators at all levels.
• Primarily review work prepared by others while personally producing estimates, budgets, proposals, and CORs when volume or project complexity requires.
• Lead or provide senior input on complex negotiations, pricing strategy, and high-risk customer discussions.
• Resolve complex bid issues, scope discrepancies, and estimating errors in collaboration with general contractors and internal teams.
• Partner with the Preconstruction Manager to maintain and adjust the bid calendar.
• Provide strategic input on estimating decisions, including opportunity selection, risk posture, and pricing consistency.
• Analyze historical pricing and available cost information to keep proposals accurate and competitive.
• Take ownership of urgent estimating needs, including quick-turn budgets and high-risk revisions.
