Job summary

Millie and Severson is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our employee-owned team in California. You will dig into plans, verify conditions, and prepare accurate estimates for Tilt-Up, medical office buildings, and other commercial projects.

The role emphasizes independent analysis, bid preparation, and coordination with subs, PMs, and consultants to ensure competitive proposals and successful project delivery.

Qualifications

Experience estimating for commercial GC projects, 7+ years preferred.
Strong takeoff and bid preparation skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

Analyze plans and develop detailed estimates with minimal supervision.
Prepare scope of work lists for trades and issue bid packets.
Coordinate distribution of bid documents and RFIs to subs.
Evaluate subcontractor bids for alignment with specs and plans.
Develop project budgets and comprehensive proposal documents.
Support turnover with PMs after award.
