Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Senior Estimator based in Saint Pauls, NC, for piping fabrication and process systems. You will prepare detailed cost estimates, review drawings and bid documents, and develop pricing for complex projects.

Responsibilities include quantity takeoffs, vendor quotations, and maintaining cost databases. The role emphasizes strong industry relationships and participation in handoffs with operations and management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of estimating experience within piping, mechanical, industrial construction, fabrication, or process systems.
• Strong understanding of pipe fabrication, weld procedures, installation methods, labor productivity, and material procurement.
• Proven experience estimating projects ranging from small service work to large capital construction projects.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare estimates using Microsoft Excel and custom spreadsheet tools.
• Established relationships with contractors, industrial facilities, engineering firms, or plant owners.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, specifications, and bid packages.
• Strong knowledge of industrial construction means and methods.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
