Job summary

Urban Infraconstruction is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our Estimating department in Texas. The role focuses on preparing accurate bids with a strong emphasis on structural concrete, coordinating pursuit teams, and delivering detailed cost estimates for complex civil projects.

You will analyze market conditions, refine estimating processes, and mentor junior estimators while traveling to project sites as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 6+ years estimating experience in civil construction projects.
• Proficient with HCSS HeavyBid, BlueBeam and Agtek for takeoffs and estimates.
• Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project for scheduling.
• Travel to project sites and a valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead pursuit teams to prepare and submit competitive bid proposals.
• Prepare detailed estimates and takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment with emphasis on structural concrete work.
• Analyze and reflect efficient project execution in estimates.
• Assess market conditions, competition, and pricing strategies.
• Lead and mentor junior estimators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead pursuit teams in preparing and submitting competitive and accurate bid proposals
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, including takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment with an emphasis on structural concrete work
• Apply pragmatic analysis of the overall project execution process to ensure the estimate reflects the efficient execution of the project
• Analyze market conditions, competition and pricing strategies
• Lead and mentor junior Estimators

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 6+ years of estimating experience.
• Proficiency in estimating software such as HCSS Heavybid, BlueBeam, Agtek
