POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Estimator focuses on companywide success, adhering to MCC Standards and completing all preconstruction activities. The role compiles estimates and drives pre‑construction deliverables to budget while demonstrating adaptability, strong communication, client service skills, and confidence in delivery.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish work teams.
- Attend client/design meetings.
- Make assignments.
- Solicit vendors.
- Utilize BIM for quantity take‑offs.
- Develop bid strategies for projects.
- Create subcontractor solicitation lists.
- Ensure coverage on all scopes of work.
- Deliver constructability review, system analysis, and value management.
- Delegate scope assignments.
- Assist in the RMP process (ATP – precon forecasters and ATB reviews).
- Compile and review all take‑off and pricing.
- Combine and review estimates.
- Review all sub‑lists with operations team members; assist in complying with prequalification standards.
- Review all tab sheets.
- Lead tab sheet review.
- Assist with negotiating subcontracts and purchasing all major aspects of the project.
- Support operations team members in developing a job cost budget.
- Manage turnover or transition meetings.
- Develop owner deliverables: estimate summary, estimate detail, clarifications.
- Assist in value management exercises.
- Conduct oneself in accordance with the Guiding Principles and the Way We Work.
- Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience on a one‑to‑one basis).
- Eight years of industry experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS
- Ability to stand, bend, sit, and squat for long periods.
- Ability to repeat the same movements.
- Communicate effectively in meetings, video conferences, and phone calls.
- Use hands to type, handle, control, or feel objects and tools.
- Occasionally lift, pull, or move up to 25 lbs.
- Occasional travel, primarily within the metropolitan area and sometimes domestically (valid driver's license required).
