Job summary

FirstFour Staffing seeks a Senior Estimator in Bay Minette, Alabama, for a direct hire role. You will own bid calendars, drive bid coverage, and supervise quantity takeoffs for ground-up multifamily and residential projects.

The position requires leadership in developing soliciation lists and coordinating with operations leadership. You will read construction documents across divisions, manage subcontractor relationships, and guide value engineering during buyouts.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of construction estimating with a general contractor.
• Experience estimating ground-up multifamily or comparable residential projects.
• Proficiency with digital takeoff software and estimating platforms.
• Ability to read and interpret complete construction documents across divisions.
• Proven track record building and maintaining subcontractor relationships and bid coverage.
• Self-directed with minimal daily task assignment.

• Own the bid calendar and the go/no-go decision on every opportunity, developed with input from operations leadership and the President
• Build and maintain the solicitation list for each pursuit, with input from operations leadership and field leadership

• Demonstrated experience estimating ground-up multifamily, senior living, or comparable repetitive residential product
• Proficiency in digital takeoff software and estimating platforms, and the appetite to lead a systems implementation
• Ability to read and interpret complete construction documents across all divisions
• Track record of building and maintaining subcontractor relationships, including active bid coverage management
• Self-directed working style — this role has no one assigning daily task
