A law firm seeks a Senior Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Administration Attorney in Tequesta, FL. Duties

• Lead and oversee complex estate planning and probate and trust administration matters from opening to closing.
• Serve as the primary attorney of record and client contact on significant, multi-faceted matters.
• Supervise and direct associate attorneys, paralegals, and support staff on active cases.
• Review and approve estate and trust administration documents, court filings, and client correspondence.
• Attend and lead client strategy and signing appointments.
• Develop and maintain referral relationships with financial advisors, CPAs, and bankers.
• Build and refine firm-wide procedures and systems for estate planning and probate and trust administration.
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to their professional development.
• Field and resolve complex legal questions from clients regarding estate planning and probate matters.
• Play an active role in the firm's business development and long-term growth.

Requirements

• Active Florida Bar license in good standing, with a minimum of 10 years of practice.
• At least 10 years of estate planning and/or probate and trust administration experience.
• Proven track record handling complex estate planning and probate estates and trust administrations independently.
• Working command of the Florida Probate Code, the Florida Trust Code, and federal estate and gift tax law.
• Experience with contested probate matters, will contests, trust disputes, or fiduciary litigation.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor associates, paralegals, and support staff.
• Ability to originate and develop client relationships; an existing book of business is preferred.
• Experience with high-net-worth estate planning and complex trust structures.
• Experience reviewing and approving court filings, petitions, pleadings, inventories, accountings, and estate and trust administration documents.
• Florida Bar Board Certification in Wills, Trusts & Estates is a strong plus; willingness to pursue certification is expected.

Education
