Job summary

Codispoti Law Firm in Houston seeks an experienced estate planning attorney to guide clients from consultation through document execution. You will draft wills, powers of attorney, trusts, and directives, advise on complex planning strategies, supervise junior staff, and collaborate with external professionals.

Ambitious candidates with 5+ years in estate planning and Texas Bar are encouraged to apply to join a collaborative team.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school and active Texas Bar license.
5+ years of estate planning experience.
Experience drafting revocable and irrevocable trusts and handling high-net-worth or complex planning matters.
Working knowledge of estate, gift, and trust planning concepts.
Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and comfort with legal technology/case management software.

Responsibilities

Lead clients through comprehensive estate planning matters from consultation through document execution.
Advise clients on estate planning strategies tailored to personal goals and family dynamics.
Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, powers of attorney, advance directives, and trusts.
Assist clients with trust funding and strategy implementation.
Collaborate with CPAs, financial advisors, and other external professionals.
Support uncontested probate and trust administration matters as needed.
Mentor junior team members, paralegals, and legal assistants.
Contribute to continuous improvements in firm systems and client experiences.
