Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, NCCPA certification, and graduation from a CAAHEP-certified PA program.
• Licensed as a PA in Maryland or another state.
• Current CPR certification; licensure maintained during employment.
• Residency/fellowship may substitute for some experience; additional related education may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive H&P with attention to chief complaint and history.
• Order and interpret diagnostics, discuss cases with attending physician as needed.
• Initiate life support and prescribe medications per protocol.
• Document thoroughly and arrange consultations/referrals as required.
• Attend staff meetings and stay current with department protocols.
